LOCATION
The Musselshell River Ranch is located 15 miles north
of the small town of Melstone, and 100 miles north and
east of Billings, MT. While Melstone consists of
approximately 140 people, Billings is the largest city in
Montana with just under 100,000 population.
TERRAIN
The ranch has excellent accessibility throughout the year
with the Hwy 12 to Mosby Rd. 500 dividing the property.
The ranches topography changes depending on which
side of the property you are on. To the west of Mosby
Rd. 500, the terrain is fairly level land with a large
reservoir. This portion is often home to mule deer,
antelope and upland birds. To the east of Mosby Rd. 500
there is a large bench overlooking the tree lined
Musselshell River bottom with views of the surrounding
area.
ACREAGE
This ranch consists of 1230 acres with one mile of
Musselshell River flowing through it. Portions of this
property could be planted to food plots which would attract
significant numbers of game animals.
IMPROVEMENTS
There is electricity on the property along with new fence
dividing the property into two pastures. There are
numerous building sites for the construction of a hunting
camp or weekend cabin.
RECREATION
This area is well known for its many recreational
opportunities that include hunting for whitetail, mule deer,
